Sawyer Park Houston

"Trendy sports bar with karaoke, bingo, and a great big patio."

Sawyer Park Houston TX, Washington Avenue Houston Heights Sports Bar

As you walk up to Sawyer Park Houston, a new and trendy sports bar, you'll surely be waiting in line if you arrive after 11:00 pm on a Saturday night. But, I think you'll find it's worth the wait. Not only is Sawyer Park a happening hangout for day drinking on the weekends, or catching a game any night of the week, but it also happens to have a hot rooftop where all kinds of beautiful people sipping colorful cocktails can be spotted.

Conveniently located on the Washington strip, Sawyer Park is open 7 days a week and offers something for everyone from the sports fanatic to that guy with the square toed-shoes who's still rockin' the too tight Ed Hardy tee.

The first time I visited Sawyer Park, I saw lots of all old friends I hadn't seen in a while. I also saw a handful of old clients and a slew of ex boyfriends. Since its early July 2009 opening, it's clearly the place to be and be seen.

Sawyer Park's calendar is jam packed with fun! Karaoke will start up on Monday nights after football season concludes. Contrary to popular belief, Bingo is not for the nearly dead! It's for tipsy twenty and thirty- somethings and is tons of fun! Sawyer Park offers Bada-Bingo on Tuesday nights at 10:30 pm. On "Wings Wednesdays" you can snag $0.25 wings and live music from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am. Thursdays also feature live music. On the weekends the DJ will be spinning the hottest songs.

The food is quite tasty there too! Serving a sensational smorgasbord with everything from gourmet burgers and sandwiches to cookies and milk your mouth will water as you're watching the game or just scoping the scene.

Saturdays and Sundays the doors open at 10:30 am. Are you thinking Sunday Funday? Sundays at Sawyer Park are great, thanks to the backyard barbeque and snow-cones served all day.

Yes, Sawyer Park can also accommodate large parties for that big birthday bash or company happy hour. The Clubhouse Room can house 40 people and features a 42' plasma TV and a private bar.

You can always catch drink specials at Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 4:00 to 9:00 pm.

The rooftop patio is fabulous! Go check it out!
