Galleria Houston Nightlife
"The Galleria area offers live music, dance clubs, and well-established bars."
Galleria Houston Nightlife isn't centered on one street or a few blocks, but there are some really great venues if you look around.
The Galleria area is great because the venues are mostly well-established, quality bars and clubs and not merely trendy "see and be seen" places.
There are live music venues, dance clubs, patio bars, and fun spots like Dave and Busters.
Some of The Galleria's Best Bars and Clubs:
Capone's Bar and Grill is a 1920's style lounge in the Galleria area with a variety of delicious food, unique cocktails, and live music or a DJ on most nights.
All About The Galleria Area in Houston
The Galleria area is home to many prominent shops, restaurants, bars and clubs. The Galleria area or "The Galleria" as the area is called is named so because of the Galleria mall that centers the area. Located off of the 610 loop and Westheimer the Galleria area is constantly improving and growing.
Today the area is home to many young professionals as there is a lot of great new high rises that surround the area. A lot of jobs center around this area of town so it is a great place to live if you do work there because you do not have to fight the awful Houston traffic.
The Galleria has something for everybody from a trendy night club to a country bar: it is certain that you will find something that suits you on any given week night. Bronx Bar Galleria is a great hot spot on any night, but especially on Tuesdays when resident DJ John Tran aka Kung Fu Pimp spins the latest and hottest mixes. Right on the outskirts of the Galleria area is the famous country western bar Wild West. Wild West is the hottest spot to be during Rodeo season. Everybody in Houston flocks here after the Rodeo closes for the night.
After that long day of shopping at the Galleria mall take a break and grab a little dinner and a drink at one of the restaurants in the area. The area has some of the best Houston restaurants such as Truluck's, Post Oak Grill, The Melting Pot, and Cafe Annie. Do expect to spend a pretty penny when eating out at some of these restaurants and going out for a drink as these places tend to have higher menu prices. Most places do have great happy hour specials so you and your friends can go shop then go for drinks and not worry about your pocket books so much.

Try the happy hour at Kona Grill (3-7 pm) and then stay for the reverse happy hour (9 pm to midnight).
