Houston Nightlife Scene is produced by a team of freelance writers who have personal experience with Houston nightlife. Bar and club owners cannot post their own profiles. This keeps the information honest and objective.

Kristy has been a resident of Houston for 3 years. She organized a Houston nightlife social group for one and a half years, during which she realized that there was a need for a reliable source of information about Houston nightlife. She began building this website in May 2009.

Kristy is a graduate of Texas A&M University and University of Texas and has a B.S. in Biology and Cytotechnology. She currently works in cytopathology, assisting with cancer diagnoses.

She expresses her creativity through web design and photography and her need for adventure through foreign travel. Her next big project is a website about planning and preparation to go on an overland (driving) tour in the Middle East and Africa based on experiences on a previous extended trip.

Freelance Writers

Kelly Crabb competed in CBS's Emmy Winning Travel Show, the Amazing Race; is a Houston nightlife enthusiast; loves travel, writing, photography, fitness and dance.

Alexandra Kuchik is a Creative Writing and Journalism student. She has 10 years experience bartending at some of the hottest bars in Houston and lots of insider knowledge about Houston nightlife.

Brooke Tarrer is a creative writer, a teacher, a former bartender and bar manager, and has a degree in science. From metaphysics to martinis, molecules to mimosas, Brooke has a unique creative expression that shows up whether in the club or in print.

A Creative Writing major, Lindsay Smith works as a freelance writer and actress while aspiring to one day see one of her books on the shelf at Barnes and Noble.

Israel Flores has more than a decade of experience in bar, lounge, and restaurant management. He shares his expertise through various resources.
